  Philadelphia More Beautiful CleanUp Schedule

PhillyBlocks is a city-wide network of block activists organized and supported by the Institute for the Study of Civic Values to build neighborhoods that are attractive, safe, economically viable, and decent places to raise our children. We are using the Internet to build this network as part of our commitment to promote citizen participation, community service, and youth civic responsibility throughout Philadelphia. Our aim is to help block captains work with the City and the School District to improve our overall quality of life.

Beyond sponsoring block cleanups, do you want to keep up to date in the latest efforts to eliminate blight, reduce crime, and help neighborhood residents in need? Do you want to keep informed about new programs for young people that you can bring to your block? If so, you should join the PhillyBlocks Email List-- block activists who are working to make our city clean, safe, economically strong, and a decent place to raise our children by strengthening our civic values and buiding strong partnerships with all levels of government.

If you want to join the PhillyBlock Network, fill out the form and send it to us. We will add you to the network within 48 hours. And for those who want more involvement in the network and are interested in participating in a Training Workshop on how to use the PhillyNeighborhoods web site and lists to strengthen your neighborhood, let us know and we'll get back to you.

I'm interested in a PhillyBlocks training session focused on these concerns:

It helps us to know what the block activists on PhillyBlocks are doing, so we can better meet your needs. Even if you're already in the network, it would be good to hear from you? What block or neighborhood are you working in? What are your priorities?  you're trying to organize and tell us what you're doing. If you're already on one of our email lists, how is it helping you? What more would you like us to do?
